Trilogy Hotels has partnered with Singapore-based privately held company Nadathur Group and Accor to commence managing of Ink Hotel in Melbourne’s Southbank area in Australia.

The 162-key property remains under the ownership of Nadathur Group. It will be rebranded to ibis Styles as part of a franchise agreement with Accor.

The management contract, which went into effect on 1 December, marks Trilogy’s entry into the Melbourne market. It is also part of the company’s broader national expansion.

Trilogy Hotels CEO Scott Boyes said: “The conversion to ibis Styles Melbourne Southbank under Trilogy management will deliver strong operational performance, great guest experiences and launch careers in the industry we love.”

The hotel located close to key attractions including Crown Melbourne and the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Guests also have access to cultural sites such as the National Gallery of Victoria, the Royal Botanic Gardens, and Arts Centre Melbourne within walking distance.

Under this new arrangement, Accor will handle brand-related distribution and deliver access to its loyalty programme for guests.

Accor Pacific chief operating officer Adrian Williams said: “As Melbourne’s hotel landscape continues to evolve, Southbank is the perfect setting for a bold and playful ibis Styles experience, and a strong contribution to the city’s growing visitor economy.”

The hotel offers amenities such as an on-site restaurant, bar, coffee shop, and round-the-clock front desk facilities.

According to Trilogy, existing staff members will remain under the company’s direction, with prospects for changes in professional development.
