The 118-year-old hotel may soon close to allow for a massive renovation project that will cost £300m over the next two years.
Construction of the project is set to be finished by December this year, with commercial operations scheduled to begin in April 2026.
The property marks the Bunkhouse Hotels' first venture in Houston.
The deal includes the oversight of a portfolio of three hotels, comprising 259 keys and five outlets.
The hotel is scheduled to reopen by March 2025.
Jurgen Ammerstorfer previously served as general manager at The Ritz Carlton, Vienna, from 2020 to 2024.
