DigitalGuest and Chicostay merge to offer unified platform

Hospitality technology providers DigitalGuest and Chicostay have announced their merger to offer hotels a unified guest journey platform, streamlining operations and creating new revenue opportunities.

This platform combines product capabilities and expertise of both companies into one guest-facing solution, supporting the guest journey from pre-stay to post-stay.

The merged company will retain the DigitalGuest name.

DigitalGuest outgoing CEO Jens Rysgaard said: “As a current hotel owner, I know the challenges of managing complex tech stacks while still trying to deliver a high-quality guest experience.

“With this merger, we can now give independent hotels a simpler, more consolidated solution that reduces complexity and creates even more value. This is a major step forward for both our customers and our team.”

The new DigitalGuest platform will offer a range of services, including communication and tailored marketing, upselling of hotel products and services, and digital check-in and check-out.

It will also offer guest information, housekeeping and room services, table reservations, and post-stay surveys and feedback.

In the future, the combined entity aims to become a strategic partner for hotels in the merchandising and digitalisation sector.

DigitalGuest aims to assist hotels in realising efficiencies immediately, fostering new revenue streams, and strengthening guest relationships.

DigitalGuest incoming CEO Tony Barker said: “Today’s guests expect everything to be instant, mobile-first, and on their terms. Standing in line to check in feels like a lifetime that kills the experience, undermines the hotel brand, and reduces opportunities to cross-sell or upsell to support a better guest stay.

“This merger allows us to give hotels the tools to simplify operations and turn every guest interaction into a revenue opportunity and a chance for personalisation, without compromising guest satisfaction.”
