O Beach is a five-star beach resort on the shore of the Dead Sea in Jordan. It is located 50km from Queen Alia International Airport and a 35-minute drive from Amman, the capital of Jordan. It is spread over an area of 33,000m² along a 250m stretch of the shore. It provides 278m of private beach on the seashore and can serve up to 1,200 guests per day.

The resort was opened in April 2010. It is developed, owned and managed by Amber International Hotels and Resorts Group.

Design

The O Beach resort carries Mediterranean architecture. The design contract was awarded to GM Architects in 2006. The design was provided by Galal Mahmoud (GM Architects) and his partners Anwer El Hajj, Randa Chahine and Elie Waked in association with Architect Akram Abu Hamdan. GM Architects also provided interior design to the resort.

The cabanas were designed with an outdoor cooling system to ease the summer heat.

Meeting and banquet facilities

The resort can accommodate up to 1,200 guests for private dinners, product launches and open-air conferences. It has spacious landscapes and gardens to facilitate private gatherings and wedding events.

It is also a perfect place for organising corporate dinners and fashion shows. It features sophisticated equipment for conferences with WiFi facility.

Olea spa

The Olea spa at the resort is an open-air spa that offers traditional massages in a serene environment with beach view. The spa is located at 400m below sea level. It has seven treatment rooms, six of which are open-air single treatment rooms and one treatment suite for couples. It is also facilitated with a changing room and a private shower. The spa offers Asian, Swedish and Indian treatments.

Restaurants and bars

O Beach has a variety of restaurants and bars. Omara is a seafood restaurant that has the capacity to offer indoor dining for 100 people, 200 on the terrace and up to 100 people on rooftop configurations. The restaurant presents Lebanon flavours.

O’Sole is a casual pizzeria restaurant with a capacity to caters up to 70 people. It offers freshly prepared wood oven-baked pizzas.

Orilla is a family restaurant that has a 130 seat outdoor dining capacity. The Options restaurant offers snacks, salads and sandwiches.

The resort has four bars which include main pool bar, bed lounge bar, O bar and sandy beach bar.

Other facilities

The resort features Oops, which is a shaded and secure area for kids, containing two swimming pools, a sandbank and a grass playground. Qualified guards and caretakers supervise the area.

The resort also features an aqua gym, yoga, beach volley and many outdoor sports activities.

The resort has the capacity to provide parking for 400 vehicles and valet parking.

Accommodation and amenities

The resort features 12 luxurious cabanas, which are facilitated with day beds, dining area, mini bar, a Nespresso machine coffee station, 42in LCD, shower, changing rooms and a jacuzzi.

It also features a bed lounge area with 100-double size day beds and a private swimming pool.

A public pool area is available with 1,500m² freshwater swimming pool. The pool is surrounded by 700 sunbeds.

Brand vision

O Beach is a day beach brand created, owned and managed by Amber International. Amber International Hotels and Resorts Group began its global operations in October 2006.

The O Beach brand offers a luxury beach experience. Due to the 300 days of summer weather conditions in the Dead Sea, the resort attracts more Russian and European tourists during spring and autumn. O Beach targets to attract the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) tourism industry with its hospitality.
