Hospitality provider Hilton Worldwide has opened DoubleTree in Lafayette, Louisiana, which underwent a $12m renovation.

The property was a Hilton hotel, which has been transformed into a 15-storey glass tower with 327 guest rooms. It features a redesigned lobby with updated guest rooms, new furniture throughout public areas, a renovated pool and sun deck, reconstructed porte-cochère and revamped restaurant and bar concepts.

The hotel is located in downtown Lafayette and is three miles away from Lafayette Regional Airport.

It features a SoLA Restaurant and Lobby Bar along with another bar named 377. Guests at the hotel will have access to a 24-hour business and fitness center, outdoor pool and sun deck.
