
US-based hospitality firm Hyatt Hotels has opened its first Hyatt Regency-branded hotel in the west Indian state of Gujarat in Ahmedabad.
The hotel is the second Hyatt-branded property in Ahmedabad. The new 210-room Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad is near to the Sabarmati riverfront, airport, as well as major business and shopping districts.

Hyatt India operations vice-president Kurt Straub said: "The opening of Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad in one of India’s most business-oriented cities reinforces our focus on India as a key market for development.
"India is an important region to our guests, and we have plans to continue growing representation of our brands here. With the introduction of our signature Hyatt Regency brand to Ahmedabad, we are delighted to have two operating Hyatt-branded hotels in the city."
The new property features 210 guestrooms ranging from 355ft² to 1,614ft², including 19 suites, large meeting space options for corporate and social events, and multiple dining options for different occasions such as China House that offers the spicy cuisine of the Sichuan province in China.
In addition, the property features an Italian restaurant Tinello designed with a living room and interactive food stations.

By GlobalDataThe Hyatt Regency property also features Juniper Lounge for networking, informal meals and business meetings and Chai Shop that offers a wide range of premium coffees and teas.
The Regency Club in the hotel offers views of the Sabarmati riverfront and skyline. Its Aadi Spa features five treatment rooms, a relaxation lounge and male and female wet areas. The wellness and relaxation facilities of the property also include a 65ft lap pool and whirlpool.
In addition, it offers 14,000ft² of meeting and event space, including a 6,045ft² Regency Ballroom and two boardrooms, four meeting rooms and two flexible breakaway rooms.
