IHG Hotels & Resorts is set to strengthen its footprint in Southeast Asia with the upcoming opening of Garner Hotel Pattaya Central on Thailand’s east coast.
Set to open this year, this development is a key milestone for the midscale conversion brand, which has seen growth since its inception in 2023.

The Pattaya property, a collaboration between IHG and Nova Park Company, will offer 153 rooms and suites in its initial phase, showcasing Garner’s residential-style service.
This partnership builds on Nova Park’s established relationship with IHG and contributes to the growing portfolio of Garner hotels, now totalling 51 open properties and 87 in its global pipeline.
Nova Group director Eli Fineman said: “Pattaya is a key tourism hub in Thailand and a gateway to the Eastern Economic Corridor. Alongside the investment in new tourism products and experiences, the launch of the first Garner property with Garner Hotel Pattaya Central will complement upcoming developments in this thriving destination.”
Conversions have been a significant growth driver for IHG, accounting for 57% of the company’s room openings worldwide in the first half of 2025.

Positioned an hour from Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport and 90 minutes from the city, Pattaya is an area known for its beaches, cuisine, and shopping.
The new hotel will feature amenities such as an all-day dining restaurant, swimming pool, fitness centre, and DIY laundry facilities.
IHG Hotels & Resorts Southeast Asia and Korea managing director Vivek Bhalla said: “This agreement strengthens IHG’s leading position in the mainstream segment, which includes our well-loved Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express brands. We are thrilled to extend our excellent relationship with Nova Park Company on this second project, which follows our success with Holiday Inn Express Pattaya Central.

This expansion contributes to IHG’s growing estate in Thailand, which includes 40 open hotels and 41 properties in the pipeline.
Last month, IHG signed voco Bangkok Siam in Thailand, in partnership with SCX Corporation, a subsidiary of SC Asset.
