Sonesta International Hotels has reached a strategic partnership with US-headquartered Aken Hotels & Resorts, which will expand its portfolio.
As part of the alliance, the Bio Habitat Hotel, Aken Soul Collection, located in Armenia, Quindío, Colombia, is now part of the Sonesta portfolio.

The move expands Sonesta’s presence in Colombia to eight destinations and represents the first hotel in the country to operate under the partnership with Aken.
The Bio Habitat Hotel joins two Aken properties in Argentina announced in September 2025: La Urumpta Hotel & Spa, Aken Mind, and Böden Hotel & Spa, Aken Soul.

By GlobalDataLocated at a high point with views of the valley, the Bio Habitat Hotel is surrounded by more than 16,000m² of native forest.
The Bio Habitat Hotel offers 24 private rooms, a restaurant-bar, spa facilities, sauna, organic gardens, and walking trails through the surrounding forest.

Guests can also join the Sonesta Travel Pass loyalty programme, which enables them to earn and redeem points at nearly 1,100 locations worldwide.
