US-based hotel technology group Aven Hospitality has introduced Model Context Protocol (MCP) enablement across its platform, allowing hotels to share verified rates, availability, and content with AI-driven discovery platforms.
This integration is available within the SynXis Central Reservation System and Booking Engine and aims to address the increasing influence of AI tools on booking behaviour.

Hotels using Aven Hospitality’s systems can now provide information directly to AI-powered search platforms without the need for custom integrations at each property.
Most existing hotel systems are structured for traditional web-based and marketplace distribution, which can make connecting to new AI tools challenging.
Custom development and ongoing technical work have previously acted as barriers for individual hotels seeking integration with these emerging technologies.
Aven Hospitality’s MCP enablement addresses this by removing the requirement for bespoke connections, streamlining data sharing at the platform level while allowing hotels to retain control over pricing and transactions.

These efforts aim to establish a structured method for hotels to link with new AI platforms, moving away from fragmented or single-use integrations.
Aven Hospitality innovation vice-president Amy Read said: “Hotels should not have to build fragmented integrations just to stay visible.
“By embedding MCP directly into our platform, we’re creating a scalable foundation that allows hotels to participate in AI-driven discovery while maintaining control over their data, pricing, and guest relationships.”
The initiative forms part of Aven Hospitality’s broader strategy to update hotel technology infrastructure in response to changes in distribution channels influenced by AI.
Aven Hospitality’s chief transformation officer Mark Hollyhead said: “If hotels are not structurally connected to emerging AI platforms, they risk losing visibility. Our focus is ensuring they remain accurate, competitive, and in control as distribution continues to shift.”
An MCP Early Access Programme involving select hotel chains is scheduled for launch in the second quarter of 2026, ahead of wider availability.
This phased deployment will test the system’s performance in operational settings and support broader adoption as AI-driven travel discovery expands.
