“We are excited to grow Sonesta’s footprint with this beautiful resort, expanding the portfolio’s strength and brand awareness in a highly sought-after destination.”
Sonesta currently operates nearly 1,100 properties, offering 100,000 guest rooms across 13 brands in ten nations.
In February, Sonesta completed more than $400m worth of renovations across its managed portfolio, updating properties in multiple regions.
The company’s investment covered a range of projects at various hotels, including upgrades to guest rooms, lobbies, and food and beverage venues.
In October 2025, Sonesta completed the transfer of 18 hotels to Laxmi Hotels Group, its new franchise partner. This development represented the initial phase in the company’s earlier announced sale of 113 managed properties.
