It was completed at a cost of approximately $29,600 per room, delivered both on schedule and below budget.

Anderson Design Studio worked with Castlerock to redesign all rooms and suites to include new hardwood flooring, contemporary furnishings, and textiles in line with Westin Hotels & Resorts’ standards.

Refurbished suites contain dining and living spaces, intended to accommodate meetings, group stays, and longer visits.

The work extended to public and meeting areas. The lobby received new textiles and included “The Well” water refill station.

Meeting venues such as the Boardroom and Radnor gained new flooring, wall finishes, audiovisual technology, and seating to serve corporate and group clients.

The project received $26.56m in fixed-rate mezzanine financing from AllianceBernstein, with Castlerock stating that this aims to reinforce the hotel’s financial structure for ongoing operations.

Castlerock CEO Seamus Ross said: “The renovation of The Westin Nashville reflects a deliberate repositioning of the asset to better align with the evolving expectations of today’s traveller and the strength of the Nashville market.

“Coupled with a thoughtfully structured capital strategy, including our mezzanine financing with AllianceBernstein, this investment positions the property for sustained rate growth and long-term value creation.”

With the completion of upgrades, The Westin Nashville seeks to meet demand from convention, business, and leisure guests with refitted guest rooms and improved meetings infrastructure.

The hotel provides 20,000ft² of event space, the L27 Rooftop Lounge, signature restaurant Decker & Dyer, and the Rhapsody Spa.
