Radisson Hotel Group is set to increase its operational presence in India to between 157 and 160 hotels and to add up to 19,500 rooms by the end of 2026, as reported by The Press Trust of India (PTI).
Radisson Hotel Group South Asia managing director and COO Nikhil Sharma told the news agency that the expansion targets and said the group is “very much on track” to reach 500 hotels across the country by 2030.

At present, Radisson Hotel Group manages 142 hotels in India, with another 84 under development.
The ongoing expansion follows the group’s steady pipeline and strategic development in various Indian markets.
Radisson Hotel Group addressed fluctuations in demand due to the current situation in West Asia, highlighting variance across different regions in India.
Sharma said: “We are at 17,000 keys in operation currently. With 18 more hotels set to open this year, we are adding between 2,000 and 2,500 keys. We saw a slowdown in some metro cities, but tier-2 and tier-3 cities did not witness a large slowdown.”
“There was a 27-28% decline in RevPAR in a few metro cities, not across India,” he added, suggesting April would be an important period to monitor for indications of sector recovery.
In March 2026, Radisson Hotel Group rolled out a global expansion of its Verified Net Zero Hotels (VNZ) programme, with the aim of certifying 100 properties by 2030.
The move marked a shift from the pilot phase, which took place the previous year, toward a longer-term strategy designed to broaden the scope of the initiative over the following five years and include multiple regions.
