These signings will further expand Hilton’s presence in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The Nanjing property will offer 232 rooms and represents the Curio Collection’s first entry into the city. Located in Qixia District, it is planned to cater to both business and leisure travellers.
Meanwhile, the Wuxi hotel will also mark the Tapestry Collection’s debut in the Yangtze River Delta.
Situated in Huishan New Town, this hotel is being developed by converting an existing U-shaped building into a 150-room facility.
These additions will join another hotel in the region, the Xi Zhe Wuxi, Curio Collection by Hilton, expected to open later this year.
Hilton stated these developments are in line with its ongoing efforts to increase its portfolio of lifestyle brands in Asia and meet demand for varied accommodation options in prominent destinations.
Hilton Greater China and Mongolia development president Nong Xia said: “Lifestyle brands are an important strategic pillar for Hilton. Jiangsu offers both a deep cultural heritage and diverse tourism offerings.
“By introducing distinctive, experience-driven lifestyle hotels, we aim to meet guests’ personalised needs and to create resilient, long-term value for owners.”
In the past year, Hilton has grown its presence in Greater China by opening properties such as Canopy by Hilton Shanghai Belfry Plaza, Canton Hotel Guangzhou, Motto by Hilton Hong Kong Soho, and The Reserve Hotel Luoyang.
The company reported that these moves support its objective to operate more than 250 luxury and lifestyle properties across the Asia Pacific.
Earlier this month, Hilton confirmed plans to open a 251-room hotel, Hilton Adelaide East End, increasing its footprint in South Australia.
