Marriott International has initiated a beta rollout of Ask Bonvoy, an AI-powered conversational search tool for trip planning.
The tool covers around 10,000 properties in 146 countries and territories within the Marriott Bonvoy network.

Combine business intelligence and editorial excellence to reach engaged professionals across 36 leading media platforms.
It allows travellers to look for accommodation and organise trips using natural language rather than relying only on standard search fields.
Access will initially be limited to a portion of Marriott Bonvoy members and people who enrol in the programme.
Marriott said a wider international release is expected later this year.
According to the company, Ask Bonvoy uses Marriott’s proprietary AI systems to read queries, determine the purpose of a trip and return selected results from its hotel portfolio.
The responses rely only on company-controlled and verified property information to give users information on property features and services, including food and drink options, spa facilities and leisure activities such as golf.
The feature will sit alongside Marriott’s current search tools on its website and apps.
The release forms part of Marriott’s wider work on digital and technology systems.
The company said it is working with several technology groups, including Google on its planned Google AI Mode travel product and with OpenAI on its Ad Pilot Program.
Marriott International CEO and president Anthony Capuano said: “For nearly a century, Marriott has embraced change and been a leading innovator in the industry.
“Ask Bonvoy builds on that legacy, bringing conversational AI to the heart of how travellers explore Marriott’s extraordinary global portfolio. Today’s beta launch is a powerful example of our continued investment in technology as we aim to make travel planning easier, more intuitive, and more personal.”
In 2024, Marriott introduced a natural language search function on its Homes & Villas by Marriott Bonvoy platform.
It intends to eventually extend Ask Bonvoy to its nearly 283 million Marriott Bonvoy members and other travellers who join the programme and book through Marriott.com and the Marriott Bonvoy apps.
