The hotel is located in Gongshu District within Hangzhou Kerry Plaza, on the former site of the historic Hangzhou Oxygen Plant.
The hotel’s design retains industrial elements of the original site, including brick walls in an industrial style, while the art installations across the property are inspired by Hangzhou’s urban culture and the heritage of the Grand Canal.
In a statement, Shangri-La Group said: “Surrounded by cultural landmarks such as the Grand Canal (a UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Qiaoxi Historic District, and well connected to major transport hubs, the hotel offers effortless access for both city exploration and business travel.”
JEN Hangzhou offers 176 guest rooms and suites. All suites come with private outdoor terraces while deluxe rooms and higher categories are equipped with double bathtubs.
OpenHouse, the dining venue at the hotel, serves Jiangnan classics alongside Western dishes and Southeast Asian options.
For guests seeking quick service, OpenHouse also provides a Grab & Go breakfast with light snacks, coffee and other beverages.
The hotel also features more than 330m² of space for events. This includes a 240m² ballroom and a 90m² flexible venue, both fitted with advanced audiovisual systems for different types of events.
An outdoor lawn on the seventh floor is positioned for corporate events, private celebrations, weddings and garden parties.
Leisure and wellness facilities at JEN Hangzhou include a 24-hour fitness centre, an indoor heated swimming pool, a sauna and a spa.
