Of the industry's total hiring activity, the highest number of new job postings were for Food Preparation and Serving Related Occupations, which accounted for 19% of the total new job postings in Q1 2023 and were up by 28% year-on-year. Second highest were Management Occupations, which accounted for 13% and rise by 16% year-on-year, and third highest were Office and Administrative Support Occupations, which were 2% of the new job postings and 8% lower year-on-year.

Top five companies in travel and tourism accounted for 48% of hiring activity

The highest number of jobs were posted by Marriott International with 14,945, followed by Hilton Worldwide with 12,219, while the highest increase was at Hyatt Hotels at 22%.
