
China’s travel & tourism industry registered a 5.0% rise in IT hiring activity in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 14.17% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 3.73% share in December 2021, recording an increase of 1.27% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in China’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s travel & tourism industry in December 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 79.59% in December 2021, registering a 39.29% growth over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 10.2% share, a flat growth over the previous month.
3) Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 4.08%, registering a 100% rise from November 2021.
4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 4.08%, down 50% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in China’s IT recruitment activity in December 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 11.11% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of China’s travel & tourism industry during December 2021 over November 2021.
The Walt Disney posted 21 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered a rise of 23.53% over the previous month, followed by A.P. Moller – Maersk with 8 jobs and a 100% growth. CWT with 4 IT jobs and Guangdong Huatie Tongda High-speed Railway Equipment with 4 jobs, recorded a 33.33% growth and a 60% decrease, respectively, while Westinghouse Air Brake Technologies recorded an increase of 50% with 3 job postings during December 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in December 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 75.51%, up by 54.17% from November 2021. Mid Level positions with an 18.37% share, registered a decline of 30.77% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.12% share, up 200% over November 2021.
