The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 240% in the overall IT recruitment activity of South & Central America’s travel & tourism industry during December 2021 over previous month.

A.P. Moller – Maersk posted 8 IT jobs in December 2021 and registered an increase of 60% over the previous month, followed by Uber Technologies with 4 jobs and a flat growth. TripAdvisor with 3 IT jobs and United Parcel Service with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while CWT recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during December 2021.

Country-wise composition of IT hiring in South & Central America’s travel & tourism industry

Brazil commanded a leading presence in the region’s travel & tourism industry IT hiring activity with a 22.73% share in December 2021, a flat growth over November 2021. Panama featured next with a 22.73% share, up 66.67% over the previous month. Costa Rica recorded an 18.18% share, a growth of 300% compared with November 2021.
