The industry’s overall hiring increased by 13.22% in August 2022 when compared with July 2022.
Out of the travel & tourism industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 8.36% share in August 2022, recording an increase of 0.76% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Switzerland’s travel & tourism industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s travel & tourism industry in August 2022.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 41.46% in August 2022, registering a 34.62% decline over the previous month.
2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 34.15% share, an increase of 7.69% over the previous month.
3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 17.07%, registering a 30% decline from July 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 7.32%, up 200% over the previous month.
Top five travel & tourism companies in Switzerland’s IT recruitment activity in August 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average flat growth share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Switzerland’s travel & tourism industry during August 2022 over July 2022.
Swiss Federal Railways posted 30 IT jobs in August 2022 and registered a drop of 23.08% over the previous month, followed by Deutsche Lufthansa with 7 jobs and a flat growth. Flughafen Zurich with 3 IT jobs and lastminute with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth.
Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 58.54%, down by 27.27% from July 2022. Mid Level positions with a 39.02% share, registered an increase of 33.33% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.44% share, down 83.33% over July 2022.
