Steigenberger Hotels has added to the growth of its InterCityHotel portfolio with the opening of a new hotel, the InterCityHotel Ingolstadt, in Bavaria, Germany.

The new hotel is the 36th property operated by the Frankfurt-based hospitality firm InterCityHotel.

Situated in close proximity to the city’s Central Station, the city centre and the Audi Forum, the upper-mid range development is expected to suit both business and leisure travellers.

InterCityHotel Ingolstadt has 144 rooms, all of which are sound-insulated, air-conditioned and offer satellite TV with free Sky channels as well as a mini-bar.

The hotel also includes one disabled-accessible guest room, free Wi-Fi access across the hotel, a Business Corner and large desks in the rooms for business visitors.

Steigenberger Hotels CEO Puneet Chhatwal said, "Ingolstadt’s central position within Bavaria and its proximity to the metropolitan regions of Munich and Nuremberg make it the perfect location for a new InterCityHotel and the optimum addition to a brand portfolio which is already highly attractive."
