1. Algeria: Year-on-year growth (1,570.8%)

GlobalData forecasts that Algeria will see a year-on-year growth of 1,570.8% in international departures in 2022, making it the fastest growing source market in Africa. According to GlobalData’s traveller demands & flows database, Tunisia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey are anticipated to be the most popular destinations for Algeria in 2022.

2. South Africa: Year-on-year growth (710.5%)

According to GlobalData’s traveller demands & flows database, South Africa will be the second fastest growing source market in Africa, with international departures projected to grow by 710.5% year-on-year. GlobalData predicts that Lesotho, Mozambique and Botswana will be the most popular destinations for traveller/tourists from South Africa in 2022.

3. Mauritius: Year-on-year growth (624.3%)

GlobalData expects Mauritius to see year-on-year growth of 624.3% in international departures in 2022, making it the third fastest growing source market in Africa.
