Pan-European hotel management company Cycas Hospitality has strengthened its development division with the recruitment of Naël El Assaad as new development director.

This move signifies another strategic hire for Cycas, which is said to be experiencing rapid team growth across Europe.

El Assaad brings industry expertise and knowledge to Cycas, having held roles in hospitality and property development within France at notable entities such as Knight Frank, Groupe Châteauform’, and LWS Hospitality.

He recently played a role in securing the Voco hotel by IHG in Angers. Additionally, Naël has been involved in expanding CAP’ETUDES student accommodations and the establishment of the aparthotel brand LIVE&CO.

In his new role, El Assaad will be responsible for accelerating the company’s growth trajectory and leveraging his broad network and strategic alliances to uncover new management prospects.

The company notes that his expertise positions him to foster international partnerships and further Cycas’ footprint in key markets.

With operations in 12 countries and partnerships with six global brand partners, Cycas Hospitality manages a diverse portfolio of hotels. These range from select-service to full-service, boutique, luxury, independent, extended stay, and serviced apartments.

Last month, Cycas Hospitality signed an agreement to manage Marriott International’s Autograph Collection hotel in Sintra, Portugal.

This venture marked Cycas’ entry into the Portuguese market and its European operations expansion to more than 55 hotels across 13 countries.
