Cycas Hospitality has signed an agreement for the management of Marriott International’s Autograph Collection hotel in Sintra, Portugal.
With this move, Cycas Hospitality is entering the Portuguese market, expanding its European footprint, with operations now spanning more than 55 hotels across 13 countries.

The new resort-style hotel, slated to open in mid-2026, is being developed in collaboration with Patron Capital and Quest Capital, the joint venture who have selected Cycas Hospitality to manage the property.
Quest Capital’s founding partners Carlos Vasconcellos and Cristóbal de Castro said: “Our vision for this development is to create a destination that showcases the beauty and spirit of Portugal while delivering an unmatched guest experience.
“Collaborating with Cycas Hospitality on this project aligns perfectly with our ambition to bring a world-class hotel to the region. Together, we are creating a truly memorable experience for our guests.”
The hotel’s design includes 15 buildings that will accommodate up to 260 guests in rooms, suites, villas and a sea-view wedding suite.
The site, once a holiday complex for Companhia União Fabril (CUF) employees, will preserve key architectural elements from António Lino’s original designs, blending classic features with modern comforts.
Guests will have access to a wellness concept, including sun terraces, gardens, and both outdoor and indoor pools, all designed to enhance the restorative experience of the location.
Dining options will include a morning terrace, a private dining area, and a destination on-site restaurant.

The Autograph Collection by Marriott International boasts more than 290 properties worldwide, and the addition of this hotel in Sintra will complement Cycas Hospitality’s existing portfolio of Marriott hotels in Europe.
This encompasses the 161-key Autograph London Bankside Hotel and the recently opened Moxy Paris Clamart.
Furthermore, Cycas Hospitality was appointed to manage the UK’s first Fairfield by Marriott hotel in April 2024, introducing Marriott’s midscale brand to the UK market.
This 142-room property is set to welcome guests in early 2026.
