Fortune Hotels, part of the ITC Hotels group, has expanded its presence in the Indian state of Punjab with the opening of Fortune Inn Heritage Walk in Amritsar.

Located close to the Golden Temple, this property marks the brand’s debut in the city of Amritsar.

The hotel comprises rooms and suites with contemporary amenities and also features an all-day diner named Zodiac, which serves local cuisine.

It is situated near landmarks including Jalianwala Bagh, Wagah Border and Durgiana Temple.

The property additionally offers easy access to the Amritsar International Airport and Railway Station, among others.

In April this year, Fortune Hotels entered an operating agreement for a hotel in Himachal Pradesh, India, to be located at an altitude of 6,500ft.

The same month, it also launched Fortune Resort Kalimpong in the Indian state of West Bengal, featuring rooms and suites with views of Mt. Kangchenjunga.
