Hospitality major Hyatt Hotels has signed a technology deal with Sabre, a travel software and technology provider, to improve its CRS capabilities.

Under the terms of the deal, the hospitality group will start using Sabre’s SynXis Central Reservation System as its primary CRS for all its properties across the world, starting in 2024.

The tech vendor claims that its technology will boost Hyatt’s reservation capabilities, simplify operations, improve guest experience and make the search and booking process faster.

Hyatt Hotels chief information officer Eben Hewitt said: “As part of our transformative growth journey, we heard directly from owners and franchise management companies that we had an opportunity to create a more efficient and streamlined CRS and after a very thorough evaluation, we decided that Sabre would be the perfect provider for Hyatt’s global portfolio to make the search and booking process even better for guests.”

The company’s new system will be designed using Sabre’s SynXis CRS to make the search and booking process simple and increase the visibility of the property availability.

It will provide flexible calendar search, which will provide guests with a more efficient calendar view, including the important dates.

The system will also allow hotels to quickly synchronise reservation changes. This will allow the hotel team and guests to access the newly available rooms in real time.

Hyatt global property and guest services senior vice-president Jessica White said: “Our collaboration with Sabre will also simplify operations for on and off-property colleagues that will result in enhanced experiences for our guests, World of Hyatt members and customers.

“Adopting Sabre as our new central reservation system will increase the distribution breadth and reach of our brands and personalised direct booking experiences across our global portfolio.”
