The resort’s location will offer easy access to Muscat International Airport and the city’s cultural attractions.

Since its launch in 2018, voco has become IHG’s “fastest-growing” premium brand, with more than 100 hotels already open worldwide and over 95 properties in the pipeline.

Golden Group Holding chairman Sheikh Salem Al Ghazal said: “Partnering with IHG to introduce voco to Oman is a significant milestone in our journey to enhance Muscat’s hospitality offering.

“voco’s blend of informal charm and global quality perfectly complements the dynamic spirit of Al Mouj. We look forward to delivering a hotel that embodies excellence, reflects Omani hospitality, and attracts travellers from across the globe.”

IHG’s current portfolio in Oman includes nine hotels across five brands, with three additional hotels in the development pipeline expected to launch in the next three to five years.

Earlier this year, IHG expanded in Egypt with the launch of the Holiday Inn Express brand in New Administrative Capital, Cairo.
