Marriott Vacations Worldwide has announced the appointment of Raman Bukkapatnam as its new chief information officer, effective 10 July 2023.
The appointment has also made Bukkapatnam a member of the company’s executive committee. He will report directly to Marriott Vacations Worldwide president and CEO John Geller.
In his new position, Bukkapatnam will focus on the company’s global technology strategy, transformation and modernisation efforts.
He will also be responsible for facilitating automation as well as offering new digital solutions to enhance the vacation experience for the company’s various stakeholders, including owners, members and guests.
Bukkapatnam has more than 25 years of experience in the fields of technology consulting, retail, consumer products, manufacturing, media and supply chain.
He will help Marriott Vacations with digital customer experience solutions, vendor partnership strategies, automation and others.

Prior to his stint at Nike, Bukkapatnam served at Starbucks as global vice president.

This latest development comes two months after Marriott Vacations rolled out the Marriott Vacation Clubs, which is a portfolio of more than 90 premium Marriott, Sheraton and Westin Vacation Club brand resorts.
