Melco Resorts and Entertainment is set to open the City of Dreams Mediterranean resort in Limassol, Cyprus, on 10 July 2023.

The City of Dreams Mediterranean features 500 guest rooms and suites and is said to include the largest Presidential Suite on the island.

Each room has private balconies with views of the Akrotiri Salt Lake, the Troodos Mountains range and the Lady’s Mile Beach.

City of Dreams Mediterranean general manager Grant Johnson said: “We are thrilled to finally open the doors of City of Dreams Mediterranean to our valued guests.

“A landmark project and our first venture in Europe, it will bring Melco’s award-winning standards of entertainment and leisure and welcome innovation to Cyprus’ luxury hotel scene.

Melco further disclosed that a soft opening period for guests will begin on 12 June, followed by a public opening on 10 July.

The project includes a 7,500m² casino featuring table games, an exclusive Poker section, slot machines, live entertainment and the open gaming floor created by Westar, the VIP member’s only Platinum Club.

City of Dreams Mediterranean features eight restaurants and bars. The cuisine comprises Pan-Asian fusion by Amber Dragon, Middle Eastern delicacies by Aura, European contemporary by Anas, authentic Mediterranean flavours by Oléa and more.

Families can relax at the resort pool complex, including Adventure Park, a trampoline zone and the Waverider. Kids City, the children’s club, offers a variety of entertaining activities for children ages 4 to 12.

The resort can host occasions of all types with its 8,000m² of indoor and outdoor event space, including bespoke weddings to significant conferences and concerts. A Grand Ballroom can accommodate over 1,000 guests, including the multi-functional Forum, meeting rooms and a Roman-style Amphitheatre.
