Heritage Hotels & Resorts has unveiled plans to build a new multi-million dollar hotel in the heart of Old Town, Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The hotel will be located adjacent to Hotel Albuquerque and will share Hotel Albuquerque’s pool, ballrooms and chapel.

It will feature 118 guestrooms including ten suites. Each room will feature contemporary furniture with colours taken from those used by Navajo wool weavers.

The property also will have a rooftop terrace, a kiva-style lobby, a spa and a restaurant featuring modern Native American cuisine.

The hotel’s five storeys will be built in a traditional stacked pueblo style, and the property’s design will ensure that its solar orientation is optimised for both summer and winter conditions.

"We’re creating a hotel where guests will experience the true culture of New Mexico in a way that has never been done before."

Hotel Albuquerque will be the owner of the new hotel and it will be managed by Heritage Hotels & Resorts. It is set to open in the spring of 2016.
