Hilton Worldwide has entered a franchise agreement with Reliance Hotels to open Hilton Garden Inn Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, Kenya.
The 171-room property will be designed in a style similar to other Hilton Garden Inn hotels worldwide.
It will include more than 300m² of events space, a business centre, fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, as well as a 24-hour Pavilion Pantry.
Located two kilometers from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO), the hotel is expected to open next year.
Since the hotel is located off Mombasa Road that links Nairobi and Mombasa, which is a base for local, regional and international visitors, it is expected to attract business and leisure travellers.
Hilton Worldwide Europe and Africa senior vice-president of development Patrick Fitzgibbon said: "Hilton has long pioneered the concept of airport hotels and in recent years has added new properties in aviation hubs, including London Heathrow, Istanbul Ataturk and Amsterdam Schiphol airports.
