Hospitality group Hyatt Hotels has announced the opening of Hyatt Regency Suzhou in Suzhou, eastern China.

Located in the Suzhou Industrial Park (SIP), Hyatt Regency Suzhou is part of Jinghope Plaza, a new complex including a luxury shopping mall, entertainment venues and office buildings.

Designed by LTW Designworks, the hotel features a 29-storey triangular atrium topped with a glass roof with the interior design inspired by Suzhou’s classic gardens offset by large-scale contemporary artworks.

The hotel features 355 guestrooms and suites, each with a large-screen LED TV with satellite channels and free on-demand movies, coffee and tea sets, and complimentary high-speed broadband.

The property features five restaurants and lounges. The Regency Club lounge on the 28th floor serves complimentary breakfast, all-day refreshments and evening cocktails.

Hyatt China vice president of operations Christopher Koehler said: "We are thrilled that Hyatt Regency Suzhou is now part of this vibrant community. The opening of Hyatt Regency Suzhou is a strategic step for Hyatt as we grow our brand presence in China.

"We believe that the authentic hospitality and care delivered by our colleagues will be well received by the hotel’s guests and the community. We look forward to fostering meaningful connections among business and leisure travellers around the world."

The hotel also offers more than 1,400m² of function space, including the multi-function room The Residence and the Regency Ballroom.

Other amenities include Yue Spa at Hyatt Regency Suzhou, with six private spa suites, two reflexology areas, a Roman-style bath, a steam room, a 24hr fitness centre, and a 25m indoor swimming pool.

As of 30 June 2014, Hyatt’s worldwide portfolio consisted of 563 properties in 48 countries.
