InterContinental Hotels & Resorts, a part of InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG's), family of brands, has opened a new hotel in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
The new $70m InterContinental Real Santo Domingo hotel consists of 21 stories with 227 guest rooms, two bars, three restaurants as well as 16 junior suites and one 2,300ft2 presidential suite.
The hotel also features an on-site spa that offers a variety of treatments, two saunas, two steam baths and an infinity pool. It also has a 24 hour fitness center with complimentary Wi-Fi.
The restaurants present in the hotel include the Market Restaurant, Nau Restaurant, the Factory Steak and Lobster restaurant.
The hotel also has a 9,000ft2 meeting space across eight rooms with a maximum capacity of 750 guests.
It has an audiovisual technology along with a professional meetings and events team, which makes the hotel suitable for business meetings and social gatherings.

The new hotel is owned and managed by Real Hotels & Resorts and is the eighth InterContinental Hotel to be owned by the company.

The new hotel joins the existing Crowne Plaza Santo Domingo and Holiday Inn Santo Domingo hotels in Dominican Republic.
