Denmark’s largest independent hotel chain Small Danish Hotels has reached a strategic partnership with Mews to support the digital enhancement of its 64-member properties.

The collaboration aims to improve operational efficiency and guest experience by implementing Mews’ property management system (PMS).

With a history of more than four decades, Small Danish Hotels operates a diverse array of boutique hotels, inns, castles, and seaside retreats.

The collaboration with Mews will enable these individual properties to maintain their unique character while benefiting from improved operational speed, automation, and revenue opportunities.

Mews CEO Matt Welle said: “Small Danish Hotels represent some of Denmark’s most unique and independent properties. Through this collaboration, Mews can empower them to thrive individually while benefiting from the strength of a connected, forward-thinking brand.”

The adoption of Mews’ cloud-based solutions will offer member hotels features, including digital check-in terminals and integrated payments, to streamline operations and enhance customer service.

Small Danish Hotels CEO Finn Kræfting said: “Partnering with Mews is a pivotal step in our digital evolution.

“Mews’ modern, user-friendly platform will help our member hotels operate more efficiently, deliver even better guest experiences, and future-proof their businesses. It’s a solution that respects the individuality of each hotel while uniting us under one powerful system.”

The move follows a similar decision by Meiser Hotels last year to adopt the Mews hospitality cloud for its four properties in Germany, resulting in an 80% reduction in maintenance time for the IT team. This has allowed the team to focus more on software enhancements for the hotels.
