Birkin International Hotel has launched in Melaka, Malaysia, introducing a new luxury “eco-conscious” development to the region.

The MYR1bn ($235m) property is situated along the Klebang beach, 12km from Melaka International Airport.

Birkin International Hotel features 526 all-suite rooms, each providing guests with a private balcony and views of the Straits of Malacca.

The resort-style development’s extensive amenities include a range of food and beverage venues, a sea-facing infinity pool, a spa and a fitness centre.

Birkin International Hotel is also equipped with modern facilities catering to meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE), including a grand ballroom that can accommodate up to 600 guests.

Additionally, the hotel offers executive boardrooms, meeting rooms, and dedicated business lounges.

Sustainability is a core feature of the hotel, with eco-conscious initiatives such as rainwater harvesting, electric vehicle charging stations, a reverse osmosis water bottling system, and a hotel-run food bank, all set within landscaped greenery.

Birkin International Hotel is minutes away from Melaka's UNESCO heritage sites, including Jonker Street, A Famosa, and Stadthuys, offering guests access to local culture and history.

Taiwan-based developer YeaShin International Development president Yao Lien Ti and Birkin International Hotel general manager Simon Tan were present at the launch event.
