Dubai records increase in hotel inventory for YTD November 2024

This growth marks an increase from the previous year's 149,685 rooms in 820 establishments.

Dubai's hospitality sector has reported a total inventory of 153,390 rooms across 828 establishments by the close of November 2024.

Room bookings for the initial 11 months surpassed 39.19 million, marking a 3% rise over the prior year's figure of 38.01 million during the same timeframe.

Guests averaged a stay duration of 3.6 nights over this period.

In addition, the city welcomed 16.79 million international tourists between January and November 2024, marking a 9% increase from the same period in 2023.

The Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism's 2024 Performance Report highlighted the monthly influx of international tourists, with Western Europe being the top source region.

This follows South Asia, GCC countries, CIS and Eastern Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, North East and South East Asia, the Americas, Africa, and Australia.

In the luxury segment, Dubai boasted 53,977 rooms in 168 establishments, representing 35% of the city's total room count. Meanwhile, four-star accommodations offered 43,345 rooms across 194 properties.

Accommodations ranging from one to three stars provided 29,701 rooms in 278 venues. Additionally, high-end hotel apartments comprised 13,944 units in 80 locations, and standard hotel apartments included 12,423 units across 108 venues.

The average daily rate (ADR) for room bookings stood at Dh520 ($141.57) for the first 11 months, a slight increment from Dh510 in the previous year.

Concurrently, the average revenue per available room (RevPAR) climbed by 3%, reaching Dh405 compared to Dh394 in the preceding year.
