IHG Hotels & Resorts has expanded its Vignette Collection into Africa with the addition of Fairview Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.

Fairview Hotel Nairobi, Vignette Collection by IHG is situated in the Upper Hill district and is the brand’s first location on the continent.

Originally established in the early twentieth century, Fairview Hotel Nairobi is recognised for its distinctive bluestone architecture and surrounding botanical gardens.

The hotel features 99 renovated rooms and suites, an outdoor swimming pool, and an on-site fitness centre.

It also houses nine meeting and event spaces, including an underground wine cellar intended for private functions.

Guests have access to three restaurants—Mukutan, Pwani, and Giuseppe—each offering different types of cuisine.

The hotel also includes a coffee shop located in the lobby and a lounge area known as Nthome Fireplace.

IHG’s Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio, the Vignette Collection was established three years ago with an objective to reach 100 open and pipeline hotels within ten years.

Fairview Hotel Nairobi is now one of 27 Vignette Collection hotels operating globally, with a further 41 properties in various stages of development.

The brand positions each property as individually managed while maintaining consistency across service standards for travellers seeking varied experiences.

Fairview Hotel Nairobi joins other Vignette Collection locations in regions such as Dubai and Kuwait, including Th8 Palm Dubai Beach Resort and Arabella Beach Hotel Kuwait.

IHG Hotels & Resorts recently revealed plans to bring the Vignette Collection brand to Malaysia.
