Four Seasons Hotel The Westcliff in Johannesburg in South Africa has marked the completion of a multi-year renovation programme with opening of new Destination Lobby and Lobby Lounge.

The project began in 2023 and included extensive upgrades to guest and event facilities at the property.

Four Seasons partnered on the programme with Hotel Properties and ASB Hospitality, the owners of the hotel. The overall investment stands at $25m.

Located above Forest Town, Saxonwold, and Rosebank, the newly opened lobby area includes an integrated dining lounge that offers daytime patisserie and casual meals, as well as evening bar service.

An adjoining veranda provides an area for meetings in the morning or social gatherings in the evening.

The architectural approach references elements from Johannesburg's mining past through the use of natural stone, metallic accents, and textured finishes.

Recent operational changes include an enlarged check-in space designed for higher efficiency, a parking facility with 100 bays directly under the lobby, and improved access routes linking to Flames restaurant and Four Seasons Spa.
