The Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Tanzania has completed a series of sustainable renovations and enhancements to its guest accommodations.

The updates aim to enhance the safari experience, combining contemporary aesthetics with the Serengeti's natural beauty.

Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti general manager Marisa Fernandes said: “Our guests are at the heart of everything we do, and these updates are designed to create even more unforgettable experiences at our lodge that not only deliver memories that will last a lifetime, but to do so in a way that is conscious, sustainable and linked to the traditions of the people we share this beautiful land with.”

The hotel's culinary offerings have expanded with the introduction of Nuru, a steakhouse-style restaurant; and The Vineyard, a private dining venue with wine-paired menus.

All 72 guest rooms and five villas are undergoing a design transformation, inspired by Maasai traditions and local craftsmanship.

Externally, the hotel has replaced traditional thatching with synthetic, eco-friendly materials designed for durability and minimal environmental impact.

These changes follow the 2024 installation of Tanzania’s largest solar farm at the hotel, enabling operations to run almost entirely on solar energy.

Fernandes added: “Our commitment to sustainability and innovation is woven into the fabric of the Lodge.

“The recent additions ensure that we continue to deliver the highest standards of luxury and service while always looking for opportunities to further minimise our environmental impact. And, in turn, guests receive a thoroughly updated safari experience in the world's most well-known wildlife reserve.”

Further enhancements are planned for Maji, the Lodge’s main restaurant and bar, located near a wildlife watering hole. The refurbishment will complement the surrounding natural landscape.

Last month, The Four Seasons Resort Marrakech in Morocco completed renovation, introducing guests to newly reimagined spaces with regional artistry.
