H World Group has unveiled plans to introduce its JI Hotel brand in Malaysia and Cambodia as part of its expansion in Southeast Asia.

The company has signed agreements for three new JI Hotels, one in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; and two in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

H World Asia Pacific president Murphy Zhu said: “This is an exciting step in our Asia Pacific strategy. By introducing JI Hotel to Malaysia and deepening our presence in Cambodia, we are extending the international reach of one of our flagship brands.

“Beyond introducing a highly recognised Chinese brand, we are also bringing the strength of H World's supply chain, development expertise, and digital capabilities to our partners across Southeast Asia.”

The JI Hotel in Kuala Lumpur's Dang Wangi district will feature 101 rooms. The group has partnered with Saadiq Tri Venture to develop the property.

Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2026, the hotel will feature JI Hotel 5.0 design.

Saadiq Tri Venture chairman Yang Shengwu said: “We highly value the proven success and reputation of the JI Hotel brand and look forward to bringing high-quality, value-driven hospitality to Kuala Lumpur.”

In Cambodia, H World will launch JI Hotel Phnom Penh City Center, a 130-room hotel in the central business and government district.

The company will convert an existing building for this property, which is expected to open in the second quarter of 2026.

JI Hotel Phnom Penh Central investor Liu Guangyu said: “Midscale and upper-midscale business demand in Phnom Penh is growing rapidly. The standardised yet flexible model of JI Hotel will ensure sustainable long-term success.”

The third property, JI Hotel Phnom Penh Mekong Riverside, will be a new-build hotel with 110 rooms overlooking the Mekong River. It is expected to open in the third quarter of 2026.

JI Hotel Phnom Penh Mekong Riverside investor Seng Leng said: “By integrating Khmer cultural elements with JI Hotel's philosophy of oriental aesthetics, we aim to create a distinctive stay experience that reshapes Phnom Penh's hospitality landscape.”

Last month, the Steigenberger Icon brand of H World Group reopened the Europäischer Hof in Baden-Baden, Germany, following significant renovation works.
