Global hospitality group Hilton has confirmed an agreement with business group The Zubair Corporation (Z-Corp) to open three hotels in Muscat, Oman.
The agreement will see the introduction of Hilton, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, and DoubleTree brands. It also marks the entry of Waldorf Astoria brand into Oman.
Set to double Hilton’s presence in the Sultanate, the three hotels will be situated within Barr Al Jissah, a waterfront development on Muscat’s coast. The location features coastal surroundings and access to secluded beaches.
All the properties are located less than 40 minutes from Muscat International Airport.
Al Husn Hotel Muscat will be renovated and rebranded as a Waldorf Astoria property, offering 180 guest rooms and suites. The hotel will also provide five dining venues and a spa, and exclusive guest access to a private beach cove.
Hilton Muscat Al Bandar will become part of Hilton’s flagship brand. The hotel will offer 198 guest rooms and suites, six dining options, meeting spaces and a dedicated spa with treatment villas and relaxation areas.
DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Al Waha will feature 302 guest rooms and suites alongside four dining venues.
Guests across the properties will have access to recreational areas such as multiple swimming pools, tennis courts, health club, a children’s club, and mini-golf facilities.
Hilton Middle East and Africa chief development officer Carlos Khneisser said: “The debut of Waldorf Astoria in Oman, alongside the new Hilton Hotels & Resorts and DoubleTree by Hilton properties, marks a significant new chapter for Hilton in the Sultanate.
“Oman’s rich culture, heritage, and natural landscapes continue to attract discerning travellers. These new properties will enable us to meet that growing demand across both leisure and business segments – supporting Oman’s Vision 2040, which aims to attract 12 million tourists annually to the Sultanate by 2040.”
Hilton currently operates three other hotels in Oman: Hilton Salalah, DoubleTree by Hilton Muscat Qurum, and Hilton Garden Inn Muscat Al Khuwair.
As of 30 September 2025, Hilton’s global pipeline stood at 515,400 rooms. The company expects its full year 2025 system-wide RevPAR to be flat or increase by up to 1%.
