Upscale select-service hotel brand Hyatt Place has launched its first property in Quintana Roo, Mexico, located next to Cancun International Airport.
The hotel marks the sixth Hyatt Place location in the country.
Hyatt Place Cancun Airport offers 156 guest rooms and suites equipped with free wireless internet, workspaces, and seating areas.
The building includes public spaces with high ceilings, communal work and meeting areas, a fitness centre, and an outdoor swimming pool measuring nearly 50ft in length.
Hyatt Place Cancun Airport also offers approximately 1,500ft² of event space featuring natural light and an additional outdoor deck for gatherings.
Hyatt Place Cancun Airport general manager Andrea Medina said: “We’re honoured to introduce the Hyatt Place brand to a key destination in Mexico, offering an ideal stay for both business and leisure travellers seeking a seamless and stress-free experience just minutes from the airport.
“Our team looks forward to creating meaningful connections with travellers and the local community and providing a welcoming space to relax, work and explore Cancun with ease.”
Hyatt Place Cancun Airport provides on-site parking and a complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle, providing access to local business areas and the Cancun Airport Tren Maya station.
The opening follows Hyatt’s multi-property agreement with Parks Hospitality Holdings.
Three further hotels are planned as part of this collaboration, namely Park Hyatt Cancun set for 2026, Grand Hyatt Los Cabos in 2027, and Grand Hyatt Mexico City Santa Fe in 2028.
Parks Hospitality Holdings CEO Charles El Mann Fasja said: “With the arrival of Hyatt Place Cancun Airport, PHH embarks on an exciting new chapter, as we bring world-class hospitality to one of Mexico’s most vibrant destinations.
“This project reflects our passion for creating spaces where travellers can seamlessly connect, relax, and experience the energy and culture of Mexico, while meeting the highest global standards of service and comfort.”
Hyatt Place Cancun Airport is the sixth Hyatt Place property in Mexico, with additional openings planned, including Hyatt Place Merida/Via Montejo later this month and Hyatt Place Piedras Negras expected in early 2026.
Hyatt Hotels recently signed an agreement to bring the Hyatt Place brand to Bhuj in Gujarat, India.
