Hyatt Hotels’ Secrets Resorts & Spas brand is continuing its expansion in Latin America and the Caribbean with a new adult-only, all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico.
The property is situated approximately eight miles from Cancun International Airport, between the Caribbean Sea and Nichupté Lagoon.
The resort opening follows recent launches of Secrets brand properties in St Lucia, Aruba, and Playa Esmeralda.
Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa features 487 guest rooms and suites, each offering views of either the ocean, lagoon or gardens.
The accommodations include access to the Preferred Club section for guests seeking additional amenities such as private oceanfront lounges, a rooftop bar, an infinity pool, and dedicated breakfast options. Private terraces accompany many of these rooms.
Dining services feature eight on-site restaurants and six bars and lounges that serve a range of domestic and international beverages.
Guests may participate in culinary activities like cocktail-making classes or pay extra for special dining experiences in private settings.
Additional facilities at the property include six pools with some areas reserved for Preferred Club members and an oceanfront hot tub.
The resort’s spa will open at a later date and plans to offer Mayan-inspired treatments.
In addition, Secrets Mirabel Cancun provides meeting spaces that include a 967ft² pre-function foyer, a 2,800ft² ballroom, and multiple indoor and outdoor venues suitable for events such as weddings and receptions.
In line with sustainability efforts, the resort operates programmes such as soap recycling, plastic bottle cap collection, local recycling initiatives, and sourcing ingredients from nearby producers.
According to Hyatt, these actions aim to minimise environmental impact and support community-focused projects.
Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa general manager Federico Echaiz said: “We are proud to officially celebrate the opening of Secrets Mirabel Cancun Resort & Spa.
“With a prime location on a serene stretch of beach on Cancun’s Hotel Zone and close access to the region’s rich history, we look forward to having our guests relax, reconnect and immerse themselves in the beauty and culture of the Yucatan.”
Hyatt recently opened its first Hyatt Place property in Mexico’s Quintana Roo, adjacent to Cancun International Airport.
