The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has expanded its Ginger brand with the launch of the Ginger Nagpur City Centre hotel in Maharashtra.

The 87-key Ginger Nagpur City Centre is strategically situated in the heart of the city, making it suitable for guests seeking proximity to major business hubs and cultural landmarks.

The hotel's location is expected to attract a diverse clientele, including business travellers or tourists.

The Ginger Nagpur City Centre's all-day dining restaurant offers a variety of global and local cuisines while the hotel's amenities include a gym and meeting facilities.

IHCL Hotel openings and new businesses executive vice president Deepika Rao said: “We are delighted to expand our presence in Nagpur with the opening of Ginger’s second hotel this year. Building on the success of the brand, this opening is reflective of the growing market opportunity in the mid-scale segment in India.

“Besides being the state’s winter capital, the city’s evolving IT and manufacturing sectors have significantly boosted its appeal as a commercial centre.”

Often referred to as the 'Orange City', Nagpur holds a prominent position within India's Smart City project, making it an opportune location for IHCL's latest venture.

Earlier this month, IHCL strengthened its SeleQtions brand with a heritage hotel in Mandawa, Rajasthan, enhancing its portfolio with a focus on cultural tourism.

The 17-room IHCL SeleQtions Mandawa will be expanded to 35 keys and be converted into a historical haveli while preserving its original charm.
