Jamul Casino Resort in San Diego, California, US, has opened its new 16-storey hotel tower.

The property features 200 Alexa-powered rooms, a spa, and a “signature” dining venue while in-room automation through Digi Valet's tablet-based system enables guests to manage their stay through voice commands.

Jamul Casino Resort president and general manager Mary Cheeks stated: "Our new hotel tower is the result of years of dedication and vision—designed to create a truly exceptional experience for our guests while deepening our commitment to revitalising the community.

“We're proud to unveil an all-in-one destination that captures the best of San Diego. Whether you're here to play or relax, Jamul Casino Resort is ready to welcome you."

The hotel targets the AAA Four Diamond Rating, a recognition for luxury hotels in North America, focusing on cleanliness, comfort, cuisine, as well as consistency.

Opened in 2016, the Jamul Casino Resort is owned by the Jamul Indian Village Development Corporation (JIVDC), a fully owned enterprise of the Jamul Indian Village, a federally recognised tribe.

It features around 1,700 slot machines, 46 live table games, a poker room, alongside several restaurants and bars.

The resort supports more than 1,500 permanent jobs and is said to be the closest casino to downtown San Diego.
