Kimpton, a part of IHG's luxury and lifestyle portfolio, has announced plans to open its first hotel in Napa Valley, California, US, in 2028.

This move will build upon the brand’s origins in the state and extend its reach within the country.

The upcoming pet-friendly hotel is slated to feature 123 guest rooms across two four-storey buildings.

Designed to be a location for relaxation and enjoyment, Kimpton Napa will boast a central courtyard, a garden patio, an outdoor spa, and contrast therapy studios.

IHG Hotels & Resorts Luxury & Lifestyle Americas senior vice-president and managing director Leanne Harwood said: “As an iconic travel destination with a culturally rich history, Napa Valley is a perfect next location for Kimpton. Alongside Stratus Development Partners, we will bring something truly special to the region and extend Kimpton’s exceptional growth.”

Stratus Development Partners, a full-service real estate company based in Newport Beach, California, will oversee the development as the owners of Kimpton Napa.

According to Kimpton, the hotel's prime location along First Street and the Napa River, nestled between Main Street and the Oxbow Public Market, promises an idyllic setting.

Last week, Kimpton unveiled its first property in the Middle East with the launch of Kimpton KAFD Riyadh.
