India-based hospitality chain Lemon Tree Hotels has expanded its presence in Gujarat, India, with the launch of a new property in the coastal city of Jamnagar.

This marks the group's ninth hotel in Gujarat, reinforcing its focus on catering to both business and leisure travellers.

The first phase of the hotel is now operational, featuring 52 rooms; the brand's signature multi-cuisine restaurant, Citrus Café; a fitness centre; and conferencing facilities.

The second phase, which will introduce an additional eight rooms, is set to complete the hotel's inventory of 60 rooms soon.

Located on the Gulf of Kutch's coast, Jamnagar is an industrial hub known for its oil refineries.

The hotel's amenities are designed to meet the diverse needs of guests, with nearby attractions including the Khijadia Bird Sanctuary, Darbargadh, Bedi Port, Balachari Beach, Bala Hanuman Temple, and Pirotan Island.

Lemon Tree Hotels has grown since opening its first hotel in May 2004 with 49 rooms.

The company now boasts a portfolio of over 210 hotels, encompassing more than 110 operational properties and over 100 hotels in the pipeline, both in India and internationally.

Lemon Tree Hotels are strategically placed across key metro regions and numerous tier I, II, and III cities in India, with international locations in Dubai, Bhutan, and Nepal.

Furthering its expansion, Lemon Tree Hotels entered an agreement last month for two new properties in Darjeeling and Siliguri, West Bengal.

These establishments will be managed by Carnation Hotels, a fully owned subsidiary of Lemon Tree Hotels.
