MEININGER Hotels has announced the opening of a new property in Dublin's Liberties district in April 2028, continuing its expansion in the UK and Ireland.

Comprising a partnership with Salamisso Developments, the seven-floor hotel will cover 8,163m² and features 232 rooms across seven floors, offering a total of 811 beds.

It will have 91 quadruple, 75 double, 33 triple, and 33 six-bed rooms, aligning with the company's adaptable room concept.

MEININGER Hotels CEO Ajit Menon said: “The new location in Dublin strengthens our position in the British and Irish market and is an important component of our European growth strategy.

“With the new property, we are responding to the strong demand and limited capacity in the local hotel sector. Together with Salamisso Developments, we aim to offer our guests an attractive, centrally located accommodation at a fair price.”

The hotel's location provides convenient access to transport. It is situated near Vicar Street and the National College of Art and Design. Heuston Station, a short walk away, offers connections to regional and national trains, as well as the Luas tram.

Salamisso Developments managing director Frank Gilmer said: “This project responds to strong demand for high-quality, well-connected accommodation while supporting the ongoing revitalisation of one of the city’s most historic neighbourhoods.

“MEININGER’s innovative hybrid hotel concept is a strong fit for Dublin’s diverse visitor base, and we look forward to working closely with their team to bring this quality and exciting development to life, ensuring that it makes a positive and lasting contribution to the area.”

This new Dublin location marks MEININGER's ongoing expansion, following openings in Edinburgh, Barcelona, Strasbourg, Kiel, Tel Aviv, Madrid, and Porto.

With 36 existing hotels, the company aims to increase its presence to 50 locations across Europe.
