Mercure debuts in Nepal with new hotel in Kathmandu

The hotel promises a blend of modern amenities and the traditional Nepali experience.

Mercure, a midscale hotel chain owned by French hospitality group Accor, has debuted in Nepal with the opening of a new property in Kathmandu.

The hotel combines modern amenities and a traditional Nepali experience across its accommodation options.

Guests can enjoy views of the city, mountains, and the Himalayas from the comfort of their rooms.

Accor Asia Premium, Midscale and Economy chief operating officer Garth Simmons said: “The opening of Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights is a key milestone in Accor’s expansion journey across Asia.

"This hotel reflects our commitment to bringing distinctive and immersive experiences to travellers while celebrating the rich culture and heritage of the destinations we serve. Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights perfectly embodies our mission to unveil the treasures of each locale.”

Mercure Kathmandu Sukedhara Heights also caters to business and social events with its event spaces and dedicated team, along with diverse dining options.

The hotel's rooftop infinity pool and fitness centre, complete with steam and sauna facilities, provide guests with a place to unwind while taking in the views of the Kathmandu Valley.

Mercure is collaborating with The Metropolitan Hotel for this project.
