Hospitality group Minor Hotels has signed its first property under the Minor Reserve Collection in Brazil, marking the brand's debut in the country.

The Aventora Resort Baía Formosa is scheduled to open in 2028 in Rio Grande do Norte, a region recognised for eco-tourism and natural attractions.

The launch of Minor Reserve Collection targets luxury travellers interested in distinctive stays and personal experiences.

Guest stays are intended to reflect individual preferences and highlight local character through considered design and guest experience.

Each property operates as an independent entity, displaying distinct characteristics shaped by its destination.

Owned by Gremi International Group, the planned Aventora Resort Baía Formosa resort will feature 50 guest rooms and 28 branded residences, providing opportunities for private ownership.

On-site facilities will include speciality restaurants, all-day dining, a lobby lounge, and a pool bar and grill.

Guests have access to outdoor activities such as kite surfing, paddleboarding and kayaking, alongside a fitness centre, exercise studio and spa. Families can use a Kids’ Club and a curated library.

The resort’s location places guests near the Genipabu dunes, Dolphin Bay (Baía dos Golfinhos) and Pipa Beach, areas known for rich marine life and Atlantic Forest vegetation. The proximity to Natal provides further coastal experiences and easy travel access via two international airports within a 60-minute drive.

Minor Hotels CEO Dillip Rajakarier said: “We are thrilled to partner with Gremi International to announce the first signing for Minor Reserve Collection, our new collection brand in the luxury segment.

“The property will be a great addition to Brazil’s highly dynamic and growing tourism sector, with Pipa being recognised as a key destination for eco-tourism in the country.

“There is rising demand for luxury and water sports tourism, attracting travellers who seek properties with distinctive character alongside high‑end accommodation that integrates comfort, adventure and sustainability — the hallmarks of the newly launched Minor Reserve Collection brand.”

Minor Hotels operates five properties in Brazil under various brands, with planned future openings including its Anantara luxury brand.

In November 2025, Minor Hotels signed to open its first NH Collection hotel in Sliema, Malta, this year.
