Minor Hotels has confirmed the signing of an agreement with Swami India Ghana to open the NH Collection Accra in Ghana, marking the first entry of the NH Collection brand into West Africa.

The new 200-room hotel is scheduled to open in 2030 as part of a mixed-use development in central Accra.

The announcement took place at THINC Middle East 2026, reflecting Minor Hotels’ strategy to extend its presence across major cities in Africa.

The planned NH Collection Accra will be situated close to key government, corporate, and embassy areas of the city. Its location also offers proximity to Jubilee House and Kotoka International Airport, accommodating both local and international visitors.

Minor Hotels Middle East and Africa chief operations officer Amir Golbarg said: “We are delighted to introduce the NH Collection brand to Ghana, one of West Africa’s most dynamic and promising markets. We look forward to working with Swami India Ghana Limited to bring this project to life.”

The project forms part of a broader development led by Swami India Ghana, a company engaged in real estate projects throughout West Africa and the Middle East.

The overall scheme comprises hotel accommodation along with retail and office spaces, aiming to support Accra’s commercial activity and international links.

Swami India Ghana chairman Dinesh G Gorasiya said: “The signing of NH Collection Accra marks an important milestone for Swami India Ghana as we continue to expand our footprint with developments that adhere to the highest international standards.

“Bringing the first Minor Hotels brand to West Africa reflects our strategic commitment to delivering premium, globally aligned hospitality assets that contribute meaningfully to Ghana’s economic growth.”

Minor Hotels currently operates more than 640 properties in 59 countries and aims to expand its portfolio within gateway cities across Africa.
